Named after her harmonised smooth exterior lines, which depict the laminar flow of liquids. The key factor of this yacht’s design is functionality. Functionality involves safety, practicality, feasibility and privacy while at the same time integrating elegance and aesthetics. This is a 60-metre explorer yacht that can be operated independently and can navigate all around the globe at full power without the need for a support vessel. Carry your helicopter, cars, bikes, snowmobiles, submersibles and much more without difficulty. Laminar is able to accommodate up to 12 guests and 16 crew members, and also carry all the required equipment in its spacious storage areas. There is a 360-degree full glass observation saloon, bar and al fresco dining area on the sundeck, which can easily be transformed into an outdoor open area at the touch of a button. The main saloon, bar and dining area is placed at the bow, giving spectacular views in three directions with its hydraulically-operated side balconies (port & starboard). The multipurpose helipad area can be transformed into a nine metre-long heating pool when not in use. When the helicopter is on board, it can be stowed safely in its watertight hangar, while a second helicopter can still use the helideck area as a “touch and go” helipad. A beach club area is found at the aft of the lower deck. It accommodates a boutique garage packed with tenders and toys as well as a glass-surrounded living room with an open bar area, which can be converted into an outdoor area in warm climates. There are three hydraulically-operated platforms (aft, P.S, Stbd.S) ensuring the ultimate contact experience with the sea. Specially-developed areas have been incorporated into the general arrangement to achieve the most efficient design for an explorer yacht. On the main deck, there is a fully equipped hospital room, a diving room, a fishing equipment room and numerous storage areas. From an engineer’s point of view, the technical spaces include sufficient spare room, large fuel, fresh, toilet and grey water tanks, as well as state-of-the-art integrated electronic systems.
