I wanted Maestrale to be a yacht that can be used anywhere and at any time. Since it is an explorer yacht, the aft deck areas are well-protected from the sea and the weather. Furthermore, the owner and their guests can continue to explore and enjoy the sea – also when the yacht is anchored – thanks to the tenders and toys: a Castoldi JT25, a Humdinga amphibious vehicle, a U-Boat Worx submarine and three Sea Doo jet skis. I designed several areas for entertaining guests, making cruising more enjoyable. All the entertainment areas are on the main deck, which thus becomes the ship’s meeting point. Here as well as in the main saloon and dining area with a bar, I’ve placed a gym with Turkish bath and an observation room, which can also double as a cinema room. The owner’s suite on the bridge deck is an open space separable from the lounge. The owner’s suite also has a walk-in closet and a very spacious bathroom with a Jacuzzi. When in warm climates, windows and balconies open to connect the yacht directly to the open air. The tender garage can be turned into a beach club when the two tenders are launched. The large interior spaces make Maestrale very spacious, so I tried to make a design that is sleek and aggressive to reflect its modernity and strength.
