Are partnership opportunities only available to universities in Germany, the US or Croatia?
No. The Lürssen Foundation offers partnership opportunities to higher education institutions worldwide.
Are partnership opportunities also available for schools and colleges?
Yes. Schools and colleges with dedicated departments in shipbuilding and/or maritime innovation are encouraged to apply for a partnership with the Lürssen Foundation.
How can I apply for the next scholarship programme?

My university isn’t partnered with the Lürssen Foundation. Can I still apply for the scholarship programme?
Yes! The scholarship programme is open to students enrolled at any university or university of applied sciences. Applicants must be studying a STEM subject (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics) and have at least a B2 level of English.
I have already graduated from university. Can I still apply?
The scholarship programme is designed for current university students. However, Lürssen offers a range of post-graduate opportunities. More details can be found on our careers site.
What level of education is required to apply for the scholarship programme?
We welcome applications from students pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree. As long as you are currently enrolled at a university and studying a STEM subject, you are eligible to apply.
Does a scholarship with the Lürssen Foundation guarantee a job at Lürssen?
A Lürssen Foundation scholarship does not guarantee a job at Lürssen, but it provides valuable opportunities at our shipyards and design centre, which may lead to a career.
